However, there are environmental/tactical factors that may impact the ability of the State Dept. of Corrections to reach its objectives. The objectives for the State Dept. of Corrections include setting up an internet connection, attaining a competitive advantage and reducing time spent for orders to arrive. The primary objectives are aimed at improving operations undertaken by the company and ensuring that customer requirements have been attained successfully. The various objectives of the company have been met by the company through various ways, and there are illustrations to show that the company has attained various objectives. Setting up an internet connection is one of the company objectives that the company has attained successfully. The illustration that can be used to show that the company has attained internet connectivity is the notion that there is availability an internet service for various book shops, web pages, and diverse presentations. The company has been explained to have a server where all data and information is processed, which has helped increase effectiveness and efficiency in diverse operations undertaken by the company employees (Kapferer, 2008). Attaining a competitive advantage has been another objective of the company, since there are diverse companies that have been established to offer the same services and products as the company. The company managers have laid down strategies and stern measures to help ensur e there are improved levels of services offered and high standards of products from the company, which also tries to attain various changing requirements from customers considered to be from various communities, backgrounds, races and cultural practices among others. Reducing time spent for orders to arrive has also been another objective of the company. The primary intension of this objective is to reduce instances where the customers requirement is not attained successfully. There are stern measures, which have been developed by the company managers to help facilitate quick operations in the company. Internet services have also helped ensure the company orders various products quickly and have a clear follow-up of how the products flow to the company. The fact that the company has attained success on internet applications were an impressive sign that the company has attained the objective and is working effectively towards attaining customer requirements (Sawyers, Jenkins Jackson , 2008). The project work (upgrade to the IS) will be handled by the technology experts following various decisions that will have been developed and implemented by the company managers and human resources. Individuals who will be held accountable of the processes undertaken will be employees who are considered experts in various fields of operation relative to upgrading the IS of the company. Therefore, measures will be developed and implemented to ensure that employees in the department aimed at improving the IS have been provided with a conducive environment, which will help facilitate effectiveness and efficiency of operation, and also help the company attain a competitive advantage in the market. The said persons are accountable of ensuring the company attains the best relative to issues connected to internet services and upgrading of the IS. Therefore, the company managers should also ensure there are availability of resources required for diverse processes undertaken by exper ts managing the IS and upgrading the system in various departments in the company.
